Mirelle Activewear Sandra Radav Leggings

The best thing about the temperatures getting cooler is the chance to get back to wearing leggings and boy are there some choices out there.  I recently met up with Mirelle, the founder of Mirelle Activewear and she very kindly gave me a few items to try out to give her some feedback as she really wants to develop her brand to suit us runners even more!  Amen to that!

Looking through the range these Sandra Radav leggings stood out.  Mirelle had said that she had designed these a few years back but had been wearing them herself lately and getting loads of comments that she felt a comeback was in order, and justly so.  The leggings market is swamped with zany & colour crazy designs at the moment which I do love as well but sometimes it is great to have something in a more block colour style, and this block colour is very bold with the compression fabric coral standing out against the black phenomenally.  The black material is in jacquard with a hydrophilic finish which in basic terms means that it looks shiny and almost glittery but is totally functional and disperses sweat and the fabric breathes very well.  The compression part of the leggings feel good against the skin and they are a fantastic length for long legs.  I have struggled with leggings in the past not being long enough and ending up with a naked ankle cuff (not ideal in freezing conditions and it looks silly) but these are perfect for my 5’11 frame.  They are quick drying so even if you get caught in bad weather they will dry out on you pretty quickly or even quicker if you get them off and hung up promptly.

The look great and feel good on, my only constructive feedback on these is the waistband needs to be made from the compression material as you do need to hitch them up a few times until you get sorted at the start of a run as there is no drawcord and ideally a few little pockets would be handy to stash keys/gels/cash when you are out for a run.
