An Edinburgh based fitness clothing company called Vivimoss has come onto the fitness clothing scene and looks set to be a hit within the fitness industry. I had the pleasure of meeting Lauren, who is the owner, creator and driving force behind the brand and was enthused by her passion and dedication to her business. Being a local company I was keen to try out the kit and see if it does what it says on the tin.

There is only a small range available which I can only imagine will grow over time, but rightly so Lauren wanted to concentrate on a few key items and ensure that they were exactly right.

Stay fresh vest RRP £30
The first thing that catches your eye is the colour, a lovely mix of purple and pink (choose which one as your main colour the other as the contrast panel), the next thing is the texture of the material, it just feels really nice and soft. The fit is great, the style of cut is very flattering on your shoulders and back, and whilst it is fitted it’s not skin tight with a dipped curved hem which is great if you are working out involving lifting your arms up, which results in a modest yet attractive style. The material moves well and wicks the sweat away quite well, it dries quickly too.

Freedom shorts RRP £35

Again the colours are fantastic, either a deep purple or a bright pink. Obviously I went for the pink. They are short, rather short, so requires confidence to pull these off well, they do have a pant gusset to keep your modesty intact. Material is very comfortable, fairly lightweight and dries pretty quick, a bit thicker than the top. The cut is good with an interesting style of side cut on the outer thigh which at first I thought were pockets but just open cuts which I assume must be for movement. I’ve worn these out running and for crossfit and the shorts sit well and don’t ride up into hungry bums which is never a good look, even when doing deep squats. A nice wide waist band so it sits comfortably around your waist, with a small key pocket cut into the band as well as a handy extra.

Wear everywhere trousers RRP £60
You guessed it, the colour gets you first, the pants I got were in a lovely shade of blue, also available in a dark grey. They are fairly heavy which I find perfect for getting to and from crossfit with my shorts underneath, great for after race comfort and warmth whilst still looking good. I haven’t been out for a run in them but to me they would not be great for this as they are a bit heavier and I prefer tights in the cold. Elasticated waist with a drawstring for extra adjustment, they have 2 pockets as well. The best part of them I think is the way they fit, they are very flattering your figure and they are long enough. My biggest issue with long pants is usually that they are just not quite long enough and then look odd, but these fit well, fitting my 5’11 frame nicely.
