I’m always reaching for a gym towel, whether that’s during a sweaty HIIT session or trying to mop up the sweat dripping off me during a spin session and I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been treated with that awful bacterial smell that gym towels tend to get. I’d never thought of investing in a gym towel designed specifically to prevent that until I was contacted by Tesalate and they kindly sent me a towel to test out.
First up their designs are kick ass! Amazing colours that really stand out and anyone that knows me knows that I love colour. I picked the ‘Tropic like it’s hot’ with it’s great array of pinks and fruity colour theme. It’s a great size for the purpose; 100cm x 45cm and is super compact & lightweight too.
Ok so it looks great and it’s the right size but what makes this different to any old small towel from Target or Walmart? Tesalate state that they use patent pending technology to engineer a safe antimicrobial additive to the core of their fabric which meant for me that even with 2 weeks of everyday use during very sweaty HIIT workouts in 90f (32c) that my towel didn’t smell, at all! I did think I ‘should’ wash it though after that amount of use, simple throw it in the wash on a cold wash and it literally dried in minutes afterwards, still retaining the softness, shape & bright colours. If you’re looking to protect your skin from harmful bacteria and fungi then give these towels a try.
Another plus point is the product is Australian designed and made so it feels good to support a company from my down under home.
